Paul Newman passed away on 27th september, he was a great human being, as well as an excellent driver. His very first professional race was to take place in Lime Rock Trans Am 1974. He drove the Tom Ciccone Ford Escort BDA.

I am looking for pictures about his IMSA racing career, as well as Trans Am pics.

I had the honor to meet Paul in 1981 at Lime Rock, he was driving Bob Sharp's GTU Datsun. We had our GTO Capri entered and by luck we had to share the same pit as Pauls team during practices. On the Thursday prior to the race there was a closed practice (public not allowed) and we got to get to know Paul and at the end of the day Paul brought beer to use in out spot in the paddock. The next day the public was allowed to spectate, Paul became withdrawn and didn't give us the time of day. I talked to his crew members and they said it was normal as the public was around. I still think I am honored to have had those few hours with such a great man and racer
