Clay Dopke GTU Capri

Clay Dopke ran a two car team from 1978 till 1981, one GTO Capri and this GTU Capri. Ran a Westlake V6 2498 CC, with a 650 CFM Holley Carb, 13 to 1 compression. Enjoy the pictures the ones are on the trailer were taken in London, after the car was sold a couple years ago at auction.

It looks less terrific than the GTO Capri, almost because of the flat rear arches. The drifts fitted on the front bonnet prove the team looked for a best aerodynamics efficience.
Is the livery the same than the one use in the 80s?

Yes the Capri is painted the same as when we raced it, just missing some of the sponsor logos. I have pictures from when we raced it. The pictures I posted were from the new owner in London which taken upon arrival.
I have a couple pictures that are in my office that I need to scan that show this car in its glory at Lime Rock. Maybe I can get these done soon and post them.
